Location

Chilcotin Holidays is a deeded private ranch with roughly 1.5 million acres of tenured operating area, situated in the heart of the sunny South Chilcotin Mountains. This vast landscape encompasses Big Creek Provincial Park, the spectacular South Chilcotin Provincial Park, and the surrounding ranges in southwestern BC. It’s a land with no limits.

If you can imagine the spokes of a wheel, and the ranch situated in the centre, the trails and access routes that we use radiate from the ranch to 25 mountain accommodation sites — each strategically located in an alpine setting to facilitate the best wilderness experiences that each area has to offer.

The ranch has power, telephone, and Internet access and is situated close to four small, yet distinct, communities of less than 50 inhabitants each. These communities include: the historic mining town of Bralorne, the area’s convenient service centre of Goldbridge, the summer home areas of many Vancouver residents around Gun Lake, and along Tyax and Gun Creek Roads.

You can reach the ranch by way of car two hours west of Lillooet via Hwy 40, two hours north of Whistler via the seasonal Hurley Pass Road, or four hours north of Vancouver via the Whistler Sea-to-Sky Hwy. You can also access the ranch via floatplane and wheel plane (private and charter) from May through November, and executive helicopter year-round.
